      Cons

*All opinions are based on time spent working in ACC'due south Irvine properties over 4 years* - Poor visitor and part civilization - Majority of lower-level employees expressed feeling underpaid and undervalued, withal overworked - Favoritism amongst management staff making information technology difficult to receive promotions despite qualifications - Visitor often speaks virtually their 10 core values, just these values are rarely skillful in existent life situations - Noticed a commonality amongst Residence Life professional person staff members of struggling to maintain a healthy piece of work-life balance because of the task's demands and lack of back up from management Worked within ACC-Irvine in multiple roles for just over 4.5 years -- started off as a Community Assistant while in higher, so became a Receptionist before moving into ResLife as an ARD. As a ResLife member, on-site housing is apart of your compensation, which initially seemed like a squeamish plus. Notwithstanding, establishing a work-life balance was virtually impossible. On peak of supervising student staff, y'all are in charge of ANY and ALL things pertaining to residents (concerns about mold within apartments, suicidal residents, escalated roommate disputes - merely to proper name a few things randomly thrown at me). While I genuinely enjoyed supervising my student staff, the lack of support from my management squad when it came to dealing with resident issues was disheartening. On height of being overworked, I was existence paid less than a dollar more than the students I was supervising! Their wage was raised to $xv in 2020, whereas mine stayed a consistent $15.50. I would never recommend going into this visitor (specially ANY of the Irvine properties).
